In the event that you are experiencing problems from a property you suspect to be a Vacation Home Rental (VHR):
If the issue is not resolved via the 24-Hour Contact number or want to file a complaint directly with City Code Enforcement, please call the Vacation Home Rental Complaint Hotline (760)362-6927.
Residents, business owners, and visitors are encouraged to call the hotline anytime, day or night, that they experience a problem with a VHR however the hotline will have a live person from Friday - Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. To support the hotline, the City has hired a private security company for noise, parking concerns, and other related issues. Outside of the Friday-Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. timeframe, City staff will address the calls but, more than likely will go to a voicemail first then be addressed thereafter.
The following issues are the easiest to recognize and should be reported by calling the VHR complaint hotline immediately:

Noises that violate Municipal Code Section 19.80.090 - Prohibited Noise and Vibration. Please note the City Ordinance Quiet Hours for the City are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The maximum number of vehicles. parking overnight shall in no case exceed the number of available on-site parking spaces.

Loud or disruptive behavior or unreasonable noise caused by the occupants.

Trash and refuse except during regular collection days and times.
