Pioneer Days 5K Run
The City of Twentynine Palms is excited to announce the return of the 2nd Annual Pioneer Days 5K Fun Run, hosted by the 29 Palms Run Club, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Luckie Park. Registration is Free for all participants. Preregistration is strongly encouraged to help organizers prepare for the event; however, participants will also be able to sign up on-site the morning of the event.
As part of the City’s 90th Annual Pioneer Days celebration, the 5K Fun Run offers a fun and active way for the community to come together and celebrate the final day of this year’s festivities. Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate, whether they are experienced runners, first-time participants, or simply looking for a fun way to get moving. The event is designed to be welcoming to everyone. Participants can choose to run or walk the course at their own pace.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at Luckie Park around 7:30 a.m. to check in, warm up, and get ready for the event. The 5K Fun Run will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. The course will consist of five laps around Luckie Park, giving participants a scenic and accessible route while creating a fun, community-centered atmosphere.

Whether you run, walk, jog, or simply want to be part of the fun—everyone is welcome!
Please note: This is not a race. This is a fun 5K run around Luckie Park. Water and snacks will be provided. Preregistration is highly encouraged. However, registration forms and waivers can be filled out on-site. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present and sign the waiver.
