Twentynine Palms Lights Up for the Holidays
The City of Twentynine Palms invites residents to spread cheer and light up the community by participating in the annual Holiday Light Tour & Decorating Contest! This beloved tradition celebrates festive creativity, neighborhood pride, and the magic of the holiday season across the city.
Participation is free and open to all residents within city limits. Whether you’re decking out your home with dazzling lights, crafting a whimsical winter scene, or adding a desert-holiday twist to your décor, this is your chance to help Twentynine Palms sparkle.
How It Works
Residents will have the option to enter in two exciting ways:
- Holiday Light Tour Map Feature – Showcase your home and help create a self-guided tour for the community to enjoy throughout the season.
- Decorating Contest Entry – Compete for festive recognition and community bragging rights!
Homes will be judged by the community. Award recipients will be announced and recognized by the City.
Key Dates
- Registration Period: November 7 – December 7
- Tour Map Published: December 12
- Holiday Light Tour: December 15-19
- Judging: December 16-17
- Winners Announced: December 19
“This is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the season,” said Community Events Coordinator Scott Clinkscales. “Every year, residents come together to brighten our community and spread joy. We can’t wait to see the creativity and spirit shine again this holiday.”
The Holiday Light Tour map will be made available online and through the City’s social media channels, making it easy for families, neighbors, and holiday light enthusiasts to enjoy the sparkling sights all season long.
