2nd Annual Pioneer Days 5K Fun Returns to Luckie Park

The City of Twentynine Palms is excited to announce the return of the 2nd Annual Pioneer Days 5K Fun Run, hosted by the 29 Palms Run Club, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Luckie Park. Registration is Free for all participants. Preregistration is strongly encouraged to help organizers prepare for the event; however, participants will also be able to sign up on-site the morning of the event.

As part of the City’s 90th Annual Pioneer Days celebration, the 5K Fun Run offers a fun and active way for the community to come together and celebrate the final day of this year’s festivities. Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate, whether they are experienced runners, first-time participants, or simply looking for a fun way to get moving. The event is designed to be welcoming to everyone. Participants can choose to run or walk the course at their own pace.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at Luckie Park around 7:30 a.m. to check in, warm up, and get ready for the event. The 5K Fun Run will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. The course will consist of five laps around Luckie Park, giving participants a scenic and accessible route while creating a fun, community-centered atmosphere.

The Pioneer Days 5K Fun Run is part of the 90th Annual Pioneer Days, presented by Bowladium Family Fun Center and taking place October 15–18, 2026. This year’s celebration honors the Old Schoolhouse Museum with the theme, “A Century in the Making: Celebrating 100 Years of the Old Schoolhouse.”

The City of Twentynine Palms and the 29 Palms Run Club invite the entire community to start Sunday morning with some fresh air, exercise, and Pioneer Days spirit. Lace up your running shoes, gather your friends and family, and join us for five laps around Luckie Park!
