Community Comes Together for Mother's Day Paint Night

Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department Hosts Sold-Out Floral Painting Event

The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department celebrated the Mother's Day weekend in style Friday, May 8, as community members gathered at the Luckie Park Activity Center (74325 Joe Davis Drive) for a special Paint Night event. Led by local artist Stephanie Whitfield, attendees created beautiful take-home floral paintings in an evening filled with creativity, laughter, and community connection.

The event brought together residents of all backgrounds — mothers and daughters, friends, and couples — for a guided step-by-step painting experience themed around giving "Mom her flowers." For $25 per person, guests enjoyed all painting supplies, food, and non-alcoholic beverages while putting their creative instincts to the canvas.

Artist Stephanie Whitfield guided participants of all skill levels through the process with patience and encouragement, ensuring every guest left with a finished painting they could be proud of. "It was such a joy to see everyone creating something beautiful together," said Community Events Coordinator Scott Clinkscales.

The Parks & Recreation Department thanks everyone who attended and made the event a success, and extends special gratitude to Stephanie Whitfield and her team for their talent and dedication to the Twentynine Palms community. The department looks forward to hosting future Paint Night events and encourages residents to follow Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation on social media and visit 29palms.org for updates on upcoming programs and activities.
