Junior Tennis Play Days Serve Up Fun and Skill-Building for Local Youth

Young athletes in Twentynine Palms are invited to hit the courts this spring with Junior Tennis Play Days, a fun and inclusive tennis program designed for youth ages 7-18 of all ability levels. The program will take place at the Twentynine Palms High School Tennis Courts and will be led by Coach Shay.

"We are pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with Coach Shay," said Haywood Adams, Recreation Division Manager. "His commitment to youth development and passion for the game of tennis have made a lasting impact on our community. Programs like Junior Tennis Play Days give young people the opportunity to build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of recreation."

Junior Tennis Play Days runs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from March 2 through March 20, with weekday sessions held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Participants will also enjoy special Saturday Family Play Dates on March 7, 14, and 21, from 9:00-10:00 a.m., encouraging families to play and learn together on the court. This program welcomes beginners through advanced players and focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, and a love of the game in a supportive environment.

The cost to participate is $50 per person, which includes a medal for each player. Online registration is required, and space is limited. Registration closes on February 25, 2026.

Registration is available online through Rec Desk at https://twentyninepalms.recdesk.com/Community/Home  For more information, contact the Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department at 760-367-7562.
