Twentynine Palms Wraps Up National Parks & Recreation Month with a Splash!
The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department wrapped up National Parks & Recreation Month with a festive Soak Up the Fun! Family Pool Party at the Luckie Park Pool on Friday, July 25. Families from across the community came out to enjoy an evening of water-filled fun, music, games, and more—all celebrating the power of parks and recreation to bring people together.
The event, which was free to attend, featured music by DJ LX Zandro, delicious food from 808 N&N Grindz, and a pop-up mini golf course, axe throwing, and cornhole provided by Mojaveland. Attendees also had the chance to score exclusive Parks & Recreation merchandise upon entry.
“We were thrilled to see all 146 attendees, many of them families, enjoying themselves at the pool,” said Community Events Coordinator Scott Clinkscales. “This event was not only a fun way to beat the heat—it was also a great opportunity to highlight how Parks & Recreation strengthens our community by promoting wellness, inclusion, and connection.”
National Parks & Recreation Month, celebrated each July, recognizes the vital role local parks, programs, and recreational opportunities play in enhancing the quality of life in cities across the nation. This month’s Soak Up the Fun! event was a fitting tribute to the staff, volunteers, and community members who help make local recreation accessible and memorable year-round.
