Meet Wildlife Up Close at Twentynine Palms' Free World Wildlife Day Celebration

Live Animal Presentations, Local Conservation Booths, and Free Family Fun

The City of Twentynine Palms is one week out from its free World Wildlife Day celebration, and the event is coming together as one of the hi-desert’s most exciting conservation gatherings of the year. Scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Twentynine Palms Community Center (6547 Freedom Way), the morning promises live animals, local experts, and hands-on activities the whole family will enjoy at no cost.

The event’s most anticipated draw will be two Learning Safaris presented by Pacific Animal Productions at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. These live animal encounters bring remarkable creatures from around the world up close to audiences of all ages, offering a rare and memorable look at wildlife while underscoring the importance of conservation and habitat protection.

Between presentations, guests can explore a growing lineup of informational booths from regional wildlife and conservation organizations. Confirmed exhibitors include the Joshua Tree National Park Association, Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, 760 Snake Club, and The Wildlands Conservancy’s Whitewater Preserve, among others. Each booth offers educational displays, resources, and activities designed to connect attendees with the natural world right in their own backyard.

Admission is completely free, and no tickets are required. Organizers encourage the community to arrive early and spend the morning exploring everything the event has to offer.
