Twentynine Palms Celebrates the 89th Annual Pioneer Days with a Tribute to the U.S. Marine Corps

The City of Twentynine Palms is proud to announce the return of its longest-running community tradition—the 89^th Annual Pioneer Days, presented by Bowladium Family Fun Center, happening October 16-19, 2025. This year’s celebration honors a monumental milestone in American history with the theme: “Semper Fi, Twentynine!: Celebrating 250 Years of the United States Marine Corps.”

With deep roots in both military heritage and small-town spirit, the 89^th Annual Pioneer Days promises four unforgettable days filled with music, culture, history, and fun for all ages.

On Thursday, October 16, kick off the celebration at A Toast to 250, a community mixer hosted at the historic Old Schoolhouse Museum. Raise a glass to 250 years of the United States Marine Corps, mingle with local leaders and residents, and enjoy a night of camaraderie, history, and heritage. Tickets will go on sale mid-September for this memorable evening.

On Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18, we are partnering up with Rediscover 29 to bring you Desert Vibes LIVE! Downtown will come alive for two nights of music, food, art, and fun! This free outdoor festival features live bands, a bustling vendor market, interactive activities, and much more! The streets of downtown Twentynine Palms will be filled with marching bands, classic cars, colorful floats, community groups, and Marines as we celebrate our heritage in true Pioneer Days fashion on Saturday, October 18 at the annual Pioneer Days Parade. Wrap up the weekend with a stroll down memory lane at the Historic Plaza on Sunday, October 19 with the 2^nd Annual Pioneer Days Classic Car and Motorcycle Show. Hosted by the Friends of the Historic Plaza, this show-stopping collection of vintage cars, hot rods, and custom cruisers is the perfect way to end a weekend full of nostalgia, pride, and desert charm.
