Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department Announces New Youth & Adult Movement Classes to Begin January 2026

The Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce three new movement-based classes launching in January at the Luckie Park Activity Center Dance Room, 74325 Joe Davis Drive. Classes will be taught by Lara Bennett, a highly skilled Dance & Movement Instructor, Certified Barre Instructor, and Choreographer, who brings extensive experience in creative movement, dance technique, and wellness practices to participants of all ages.

The following classes will be offered on Tuesdays beginning January 6th.

Tumbling Tots
Ages: 2-6          Tuesdays | 4:00-4:50 p.m.
This introductory gymnastics-style class helps young children build coordination, balance, and body awareness through rolling, jumping, stretching, and creative movement with props.

Kids' Rhythm and Bop
Ages: 6-16        Tuesdays | 5:00-5:50 p.m.
This is a high-energy dance program that exposes children and teens to a wide variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, Irish step, line dancing, polka, waltz, and more. Students will build rhythm, confidence, and coordination through fun movement activities, technique exercises, and interactive games.

Meaningful Movement
Ages: 16+          Tuesdays | 6:00-7:00 p.m.
This restorative movement experience blends meditation, breathwork, yoga, and dance. Participants will enjoy thoughtful movement, stretching, and calming stillness designed to promote relaxation and overall wellness.
