Twentynine Palms Youth Council to Host Community Food Drive Benefiting Feed 29 Food Pantry
The City of Twentynine Palms Youth Council will host a community food drive on Saturday, March 14, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. outside Grocery Outlet in Twentynine Palms to support the Feed 29 Food Pantry.
Youth Council members will be on-site collecting nonperishable food items to help stock the pantry and support local families in need. Community members are encouraged to stop by and donate while doing their weekend shopping. Most-needed items include canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, mac n' cheese, peanut butter, and jelly.
This marks the second year the Twentynine Palms Youth Council has organized a food drive for Feed 29, building on last year's successful community effort.
"This is the second year our Youth Council members have organized a food drive, and we are excited to see them continue this tradition of giving back," said Amy Tessier, Youth Council Advisor. "Last year the community showed incredible generosity, and we hope to collect even more food this year to support this important cause and help our neighbors in need."
