Twentynine Palms Celebrates World Wildlife Day with Interactive Learning and Family Fun

The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is gearing up to celebrate World Wildlife Day on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9AM to 1PM at the Twentynine Palms Community Center. This free, family-friendly event will bring together local and regional wildlife experts, conservation organizations, and interactive experiences to inspire attendees to appreciate and protect the natural world.

One of the event’s highlights will be two Learning Safari presentations by Pacific Animal Productions at 10AM and 11:30AM. These engaging and educational shows will allow attendees to get up close with live animals and learn about their unique adaptations and habitats.

In addition to the Learning Safaris, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with Joshua Tree National Park Association, Friends of the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, The Wildlands Conservancy, Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter, Morongo Basin Conservation Association, and other organizations dedicated to conservation and wildlife education. Each vendor will offer valuable insights into how they protect wildlife and preserve natural spaces for future generations.

World Wildlife Day is a perfect event for families, educators, and wildlife enthusiasts to engage with experts, participate in hands-on activities, and discover ways to contribute to conservation efforts. With interactive exhibits, educational opportunities, and a fun atmosphere, this event aims to inspire attendees to appreciate and protect the diverse wildlife of the Morongo Basin and beyond.
