Background

Councilmember Mintz has lived in Twentynine Palms for 47 years and graduated from Twentynine Palms High School. He started working in the family business in 1973. He and his sister Kathy bought the Bowladium Fun Center in 1985 and they currently own the business.

Councilmember Mintz coaches the Twentynine Palms High School Varsity Girls Softball team and is a volunteer announcer for Twentynine Palms High School Football. He coached Little League baseball and softball for many years and served on the San Bernardino County Parks & Recreation Commission. He served as a Twentynine Palms Planning Commissioner for six years prior to being elected to the City Council in 2010.

Councilmember Mintz has grown up in Twentynine Palms and has seen a lot of changes. His children, a son and two daughters, have grown up here as well. Twentynine Palms is his home, and he wants to help the community become a great place to raise a family and prosper.
