Walk With Ease Program
Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation is pleased to introduce Walk With Ease, a new health and wellness program made possible through the Supporting Healthy Aging Through Parks and Recreation (SHAPR 5.0) grant from the National Recreation and Park Association, with funding support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Walk With Ease program, developed by the Arthritis Foundation, is a scientifically proven walking program designed to help reduce pain and stiffness, improve balance and strength, and increase overall physical activity. While especially beneficial for individuals managing arthritis or other chronic conditions, the program is open to adults of all fitness levels who are looking to improve their health in a safe and supportive environment.
Certified instructors will lead participants through guided walking sessions three times per week over a six-week period. Multiple sessions will be offered throughout the year, providing continued opportunities for community members to participate.
