Summer Day Camp

Give your child a summer to remember! The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is proud to bring back its popular Summer Day Camp — a fun, safe, and enriching program designed for children entering 1st through 5th grade in Fall 2026.

About the Program

Summer Day Camp takes place at Patriotic Hall at Luckie Park and runs Monday through Friday from 6:45AM to 5:15PM, making it a reliable full-day option for working families throughout the summer months. With a low camper-to-staff ratio and certified staff on-site every day, parents can feel confident their children are in good hands.

Dates & Session

Camp runs June 8 through August 7, 2026 and is organized into five sessions. The first four sessions are two weeks each, with the final session lasting one week.

  • Session 1: June 8 - June 19
  • Session 2: June 22 - July 3
  • Session 3: July 6 - July 17
  • Session 4: July 20 - July 31
  • Session 5: August 3 - August 7

Please note: There will be no camp June 19 and July 3 due to the Juneteenth and Fourth of July holidays, respectively.

What Campers Will Do

Every day at Summer Day Camp is packed with activities that keep kids active, creative, and connected. Campers can look forward to:

  • Daily crafts and games
  • Luckie Park Pool visits
  • Excursions to the Community Center gym
  • Trips to Bowladium Family Fun Center
  • Local movie theater outings
  • Field trips to Chuck E. Cheese
  • Visits to Joshua Tree National Park

Plus, so much more!

Safety & Staff

The safety and wellbeing of every camper is our top priority. All Summer Day Camp staff hold current CPR and First Aid certifications, and the program is supervised by experienced Parks & Recreation Department staff committed to creating a positive environment for every child.

Fees & Registration

Each session is limited to 40 children, and spots fill quickly — so early registration is strongly encouraged.

  • Single two-week session: $158 per child
  • Full summer (all five sessions): $646 per child

Registration is available online through RecDesk here.
