Girls on the Run
The City of Twentynine Palms is proud to host Camp GOTR (Girls on the Run) for a second consecutive summer, continuing its commitment to empowering local girls through engaging and impactful programming.
Camp GOTR is a weeklong summer program designed for girls entering 3rd through 5th grade in the 2026–27 school year. The program blends fun, physical activity, creativity, and life skills development in a supportive and encouraging environment. This year’s theme, “Girls Have Heart,” highlights the importance of friendship, specifically what makes a good friend and how to be a good friend to others, through interactive games, storytelling, and creative activities.
Camp will take place July 27–31, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Luckie Park Activity Center.
Participants will enjoy:
• 20 hours of engaging curriculum and activities
• A journal, T-shirt, keepsake, and completion certificate
• Daily healthy snacks
• Encouragement and support from trained and empowering coaches
Registration is just $15, made possible through a generous LA84 Foundation grant secured by Girls on the Run Inland Empire. Amy Tessier, Recreation Program Supervisor for the City of Twentynine Palms, shared her enthusiasm for the program’s return, “We are thrilled to bring Camp GOTR back to Twentynine Palms for a second summer. It’s incredibly rewarding to offer a program that helps young girls build confidence, form meaningful friendships, and discover their inner strength in such a fun and positive setting."
