Holiday Light Tour & Decorating Contest

Twentynine Palms is ready to sparkle! Join us in lighting up the desert this holiday season by participating in the City's annual Holiday Light Tour & Decorating Contest. From classic twinkle lights to animated displays bursting with creativity, this festive community tradition invites residents to transform their homes into magical winter wonderlands for all to enjoy.
Whether you're looking to share your beautifully decorated home on our community tour or compete for top holiday honors, this event is the perfect way to spread cheer throughout Twentynine Palms.
Participation is completely free and open to all residents within the City limits. Simply decorate the exterior of your home and choose how you'd like to participate:
- Be Part of the Tour: Register your address to be included on the City's self-guided Holiday Light Tour map. Your home will be listed by address only so families can enjoy a festive adventure around town at their own pace.
- Enter the Decorating Contest: Compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Judging will take place December 16-17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each night. All displays must be visible from the street and fully lit and animated during judging hours. This year's judging will be conducted by the community through an online vote.
All participating addresses will receive a yard sign the week prior to help guide tour-goers. Winners will be notified on Thursday, December 18 for a special photo opportunity that evening, and results will be announced publicly on Friday, December 19 on our social media channels.
By joining the tour, entrants who consent may have their homes photographed for promotional purposes. Photography will begin Monday, December 15.
