"Stay and Dine in 29!" - At the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park
The City of Twentynine Palms, California, is the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park and home of Park Headquarters and Oasis Visitor Center. Each year, more than 2.5 million visitors experience the park's nearly 800,000 acres of monolithic rock formations, iconic Joshua trees, serene desert vistas, and brilliant starry nights. The city is also home to the ancient Oasis of Mara, which dates back more than 9,000 years.
Twentynine Palms offers desert hospitality and visitor services for travelers to the park and serves as a gateway to Mojave National Preserve and Mojave Desert Wilderness Areas. The city also hosts military families, contractors, and visiting friends and relatives to its neighboring Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.
