The Twentynine Palms Community Trails Plan project of 2009-10 is a cooperative effort to study the needs for a community trails system in the Twentynine Palms area and develop a recommended master plan based on public workshops, field trips, work groups, and input from Pedestrian, Cyclist, Equestrian, and OHV user groups. Information gained from this research effort will be included in the city's General Plan Update process. The trails project is being facilitated by the City of Twentynine Palms Community Services Department, the Morongo Basin Open Space Group, and the National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program.
