Fire Suppression services throughout the City are provided by the Twentynine Palms Fire Department, a subsidiary agency to the Twentynine Palms Water District. 

Its mission is to protect the lives and property of the community from the detrimental effects of fires, medical emergencies, and other hazardous conditions caused by either man or nature. 

In 2008, the Twentynine Palms Fire Department celebrated its 50th anniversary. The department was honored for its long tradition of protecting the community and its planning efforts for the challenges of the future.

The Fire Department provides fire safety, suppression, inspection, and emergency services. It has two fire stations in Twentynine Palms.
