Business Licenses are required for all businesses soliciting or transacting business within the City of Twentynine Palms, CA. A separate Business License is required for each branch establishment or location. You may print the application online from the link below or pick up an application for a Business License at City Hall.

 

2010-2011 FEES:

Business License application, first year license: $85

Business License annual renewal, Inside City Limits: $26

Business License annual renewal, Oustide City Limits: $53

Home Occupation Permit application fee: $85 + $60 = $145

Home Occupation annual renewal: $13

Peddler/Solicitor/Hawker application fee: $120 + Permit: $26

Masseuse annual license: $36

Bingo annual license: $120

PAYMENTS & RENEWALS:  Business License application and renewal payments can be made by mail or in person at City Hall. Renewals are due by December 31 of each year; a late fee applies for renewals received after January 31. To pay by telephone, call 1-866-837-5290. To pay online, click the link below.

NOTE: To pay or renew online or by phone, a service fee of $2.50 will be charged for payments and renewals of up to $50; $3.95 for payments or renewals from $51 to $200.

 

 

A Business License must be posted in a conspicuous place where the business is conducted. The Business License cannot be transferred or assigned, except when a business is transferred from one location to another.

 

The fact that a Business License has been issued does not authorize or legalize a business activity that violates any federal, state, or local statute, ordinance, rule or regulation, or land use district where the business is not permitted. A Business License will not be issued until the applicant has obtained all necessary land use entitlements or building permits to operate the business.
