Background
As a retired educational administrator, John Cole brings 11 years of teaching and coaching experience followed by 30 years in administration to his position on the City Council. He has served as principal of Twentynine Palms High School and Condor Elementary School, and served at the district level as Assistant Superintendent in Personnel, Business, and Student Services for Morongo Unified School District.
John has a B.S. degree in Math from Loyola University, and an M.A. degree in Education from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1945, John has lived in Twentynine Palms since 1966. He and his wife, Marsha, have raised five children in the community: Nicki, Kevin, Keri, Britt, and Cory. His son Kevin previously served on the Twentynine Palms City Council and was Mayor in 2006.
