Background
Joel Klink was born in Hartford, Wisconsin, in February 1958. His parents moved the family to Twentynine Palms in 1961. He attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Twentynine Palms High School in 1976.
Upon graduation, he went right into the work force, working at Thrifty Drug Store for two and a half years. He was the 2nd Assistant Manager when he was recruited to the Postal Service in 1979. He has been working for the postal service for 30 years, 26 years on Route 3. His wife, Tory, is a Mammography technologist at Airway Outpatient Clinic in Yucca Valley. They have three children: Amanda, married with two children and living in Arizona, Andrew, who works at Rite Aid in Twentynine Palms, and Matthew, a senior at Twentynine Palms High School.
